- Power is supplied via a medium-voltage ring feed and, in the event of a power failure, replaced by lithium-ion batteries and a diesel generator. (Data Center hex/AC, product page); operational security through lightning protection class I for the building and a medium-voltage power supply with ring feed, battery-backed standby power supply and diesel generator for longer power failures, a redundantly designed, environmentally friendly cooling system with a 40-cubic-metre emergency water tank to bridge problems in the water supply and, not least, the redundant 100 GBit/s fibre network connection directly to the RelAix backbone and DE-CIX in Frankfurt (news 30.09.2021); this includes a redundant medium-voltage power supply, battery UPS and diesel generator, highly efficient adiabatic outdoor-air cooling instead of classic air conditioning and an automatic extinguishing system with direct connection to the fire brigade, as well as multi-factor access control with a biometric factor, video surveillance with direct connection to a security service and the police, and a fenced-off site (news 13.03.2020); the next build-out stage of hex/AC ... then as a separate fire compartment that in the unlikely event of a fire can continue to operate independently of stage 1 (news 13.03.2020); in the event of a prolonged power failure, the diesel generator takes over the power supply of the data center from the battery-backed uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
