Redundancy (as published)
The building has 3 building entries and 3 separate transformer rooms. Short cable routes for the power supply result from the adjacent Mainova substation Frankfurt Ost. The data centre floors are supplied via 2 parallel redundant UPS systems. One system can take over the full load of the other UPS, so that the power supply is guaranteed, for example, during maintenance work. The battery capacity is sufficient to bridge power failures of at least 60 minutes ... before the switchable diesel generator sets come into use. Cooling is provided by a redundant chilled-water cooling system. For cooling, 2 generators of 110 kW and 300 kW each are available, which additionally have a chilled-water buffer tank with a capacity of 8.000 litres.
